Graduate housing
Does anyone live in, or know someone who lives in graduate housing? I'm looking specifically at Rose Land and Commonwealth Village apartments.

I'm curious about the furniture, is it decent? All furnished housing I've seen in the past has been really awful-- dining room chairs and tables that look like they came from a classroom and sofas that look really old and really dirty. But these places were not at a university as large as UK, so I'm not sure what to expect.

I honestly can't speak from firsthand experience, but when I visited last year, someone in my department lived in the graduate housing and said that it was cheap and that part was nice, but that he wasn't going to do it again. I think he lived alone, though, and that played a part in his decision.

Good luck!

The Commonwealth apartments are right next to the football stadium aren't they? That's good if you go to the games, but bad if you want to be anywhere else while they're on. I have heard it is impossible to get in or out of one's house during the games since traffic is completely blocked off except for game traffic.
